FAQs

  • The Village is a vibrant, hands-on community for families with children aged 0-12. While we primarily support homeschooling families, we also welcome non-homeschooling families to join us for enriching experiences during the summer.

  • The Village is open to like-minded, holistic families who are homeschooling, exploring homeschooling, or looking for a supportive community for their children.

  • No! Whether you’re a full-time homeschooler, supplementing traditional schooling, or just exploring, you’re welcome here.

  • We focus on outdoor experiences (weather permitting), hands-on learning, and fostering friendships. Our activities include nature walks, group lessons, playgroups, seasonal celebrations, creative arts, storytelling, and community-building events. In the fall and winter, we also offer an indoor space where families can gather, learn, and connect in a warm and welcoming environment.

  • The summer membership operates on a sliding scale and can be as low as $0.00 per family. This means you can choose the amount that feels right for your family, based on your current situation. We believe that when families contribute what they can, it creates a more committed and connected community—while staying accessible to all. As of October we’ll be moving into a cozy rented indoor space and the membership fee will be 80$/month per family.

  • Yes! During the outdoor summer season, we offer a free drop-in option for one meetup.
After that, we ask that you sign up as a member — the sliding scale makes it accessible for all, and it helps us keep you in the loop with meetup plans and park locations. For our fall/winter season, the drop-in fee is $25. If you decide to join as a member after your drop-in, the $25 fee will be applied towards the $80/month membership cost.

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds at this time. Membership fees are non-refundable, even if you miss a meetup or choose to cancel before the end of the billing period.

  • The Village is built on the values of connection, community, and a love for lifelong learning through rich, diverse environments.

    We believe in:

    • Hands-on Learning – Encouraging curiosity, creativity, and exploration through real-world experiences.

    • Nature & Play – Emphasizing the importance of outdoor learning, free play, and time spent in nature. Or bringing nature indoors.

    • Support & Encouragement – Providing a welcoming space where families can share knowledge, resources, and encouragement on their homeschooling journey.

    • Friendship & Community – Fostering meaningful relationships among children and parents, creating a strong, supportive network.

    • Grounded in Respect – Creating a nurturing space where all families feel seen, and supported.
