Tending the Roots: A Year of Community and Wonder

The Village has enjoyed countless adventures together, from outdoor parks with splashpads to the breathtaking Saint-Bruno National Park, where we explored the beauty of nature in the fall and early winter. Even during the colder months, we made sure the fun didn’t stop! We rented a space to keep our meetups going through winter, and explored exciting indoor locations like iSaute, a fun cafe with a playroom for the kids, and even hosted gatherings at my home! One of the most heartwarming highlights was our Multicultural Day, where each family shared a bit about their heritage, language, and traditions. We gathered around food from different countries, tasting dishes from each family’s background and celebrated the beauty of diversity together.

Throughout the seasons, we connected with the land by going strawberry picking and apple picking, depending on what the local farms had ready for harvest. These outings gave the kids a firsthand experience of where their food comes from and the joy of harvesting it themselves.

From crafting and storytelling to celebrating diversity and getting our hands in the dirt, it was a year full of creativity, curiosity, and community.
